Visuals Page

Hey whats up, thanks for passing by my spot, appreciate it.
If this is your first time around, I'm coming to you from my home studio in Hamilton, Ont. Canada.
I listen to and play all types of music, ranging from ambient electronic to progressive rock. Video is
another hobby that I enjoy experimenting with, alot of my musical inspiration comes from those visuals.
I'm using a combination of traditional instruments and computer software to produce the tracks, which
I think makes for a cool variation in sounds. I've had some great online collabs over the years and its
definately made the music even better.

I have a self titled CD available at Kunaki...its a mix of lush ambient sounds and
progressive rock. It includes some very talented musicians for only $5.99 online at Kunaki
Visit my page at MySpace and listen to a track or 2 there on the player, thanks.

News:   5/09...one last song before summer holidays. A kind of progressive synth rock track I had that needed Jeff (RoadApples)
to play guitar and add a vocal to. He did a fantastic job, really dig the lead guitar add to, well done Jeff.
                       Where ya comin from.mp3

4/09...another desktop pic at 1680x1050, just messing around in Bryce. Click to view it and then download it.

3/09...hard to believe but this is my first online canadian collab which features some cool grooves and glitch breaks from
polyslax.  I added my usual science trip with some synth and guitar lines. Not overly refined as I only spent 1 night
in production but sometimes first impressions are the most inspired.  Divertimental Dissonance.mp3

3/09...something acoustic this time out with my partner Jasmine, she inspired me to not only write this song but to sing with her.
I really like the song and I'm hoping Jasmine will help me produce a CD based in this style. Usually I'm jumping around
wildly from genre to genre but I think it would be cool to really concentrate on refining this theme. Hope you enjoy this
          one... Call on Me.mp3

3/09...well this track got me out on a limb thanks to my friend stu from Ireland. Just in case I was getting a little to mainstream
leave it to stu to pull me back from the mundane..lol. Stu sent me a bass track with some backing to it and from there I messed
with it, adding a vsti track with Delay Lama fed through some nasty distortion, also did some sample tricks to enhance the
feedback qualities...lol, and finally the highlight of me yelling into the mic with a lofi effect. Its a 3 min love song called
           freaK.mp3

3/09...I remember the SQ8L synth from way back, full of monster basses and lead sounds. After grabbing the software version
it had to be used for a funky vibe with full on riffing.  SQ8L Demo.mp3

2/09...heres a 1680x1050 desktop pic of my CD graphic for the Feather Project rendered from Bryce. Click on the pic to view
          the full rez version and
download it if you like it.

2/09...I started putting a track together basically as an experiment to see if my good friend Nikos could help me with the drumtrack. After
sending him the midi file of a starter drum line the project started to sound pretty good. I decided to ask Lee Velasquez if he wouldn't
mind playing bass guitar to it, he agreed and so now we have a darn cool internet jam that I call  Sneaky People.mp3

2/09...the fires in Australia have been devistating and some of the scenes have been like nothing I've ever seen. I have some online friends
there, luckily their all in the northern regions so they have escaped the tragedy. There are ways you can help those caught up in this
by watching this video and maybe passing it on.  The Fires in Australia

2/09...I just finished producing and designing the graphics for a charity CD called The Feather Project. The goal of this initiative is to help
music programs in schools around the world. All proceeds from sales of the CD will be donated to programs that need instruments
or equipment that will help kids enjoy the world of music and production. Please consider purchasing the CD, your generousity
will be greatly appreciated. Its a cool mix of acoustic and rock music from musicians who collaborated on the net from around the
globe, check the CD here at Kunaki  The Feather Project

1/09...came across an older track oid and I did for fun, called it The Thrillseekers...too funny. Kind of a movie mash up, I did a remix and
the thing still makes me laff,  ThrillSeekers.mp3

12/08...I haven't done a pure synth track in ages but after hearing the new DreamMachine synth, I was inspired to do one. Thanks to Inge
from Serious Music Radio for letting me use a few snippets of her expressive voice for this. Its retro sounding but thats okay, I've always
been a big fan of older style synth work. Loosely based on my idea of radio transmissions breaking the silence of space.
            Listen to Radio Science.mp3

12/08...hey Bob, you'll want to pass by soon, the drums are in the house, I'm having a beer and checking the Yamaha kit.

11/08...finished a little ambient ballad type song and had the pleasure of having Jasmine Tea do a vocal track for me. Shes got a great
voice and I'm really excited about working with her again in the future. My instrumentation is quite basic but I thought she gave
the track life with her sultry voice and lyrics.
...thanks Jas.  When You're Not Here.mp3

11/08...hey, ran into my good friend Tom the other day, hadn't seen him in a while. Check out the mans new bike,
08 Harley Road King...Pretty sweet Tom, This is what you want when you turn 50 and girls don't find you attractive
             anymore..lol

10/08...its time to get back to work in the studio again, the summer here was mostly cool and rainy, kind of a downer but there was still
some good fishing and hiking going on. A couple pics while hiking along the Crowe River.

05/08...well thats it, finally time to travel north for the summer again. Brutal winter here so everyone is looking forward to this. I did get one
more track finished, kind of a strange fusion glitch movement. Stu from Newcastle was into adding his bass talents to the thing and I
think it turned out pretty cool and different., I call it  MadHouse Symphony.mp3   ... in the meantime, have a great summer.

04/08...its almost that time again to close up shop for the summer and travel north, in the meantime heres a little slideshow
with some pics from last year. I put some mellow music to it as a backtrack, bit of guitar and synth... Summer on the Trent River.wmv

03/08...traynor cab, 7 string scheckter, 5 string washburn bass...nice

03/08...bob came by with his midi kit for some jammin, good to see ya man...but I can't see ya cause your not in the picture, where did you go?

02/08...an online jam with friends, Wim from the Netherlands on keys, guitars and vox, Stu from England on bass,
myself on drums and lead synths. Started on a Friday from a blank page and 48hrs later had a cool vibe for me to mix.
Called "FirstStrike" by Wim. Enjoyed it guys!!    FirstStrike.mp3

02/08...the Roland rig for Sundays jam

02/08...a couple of my own desktop pics at 1680x1050  Heron   Flower

01/08...track from my video called Spirits, remixed to stand on its own, more or less  Spirits.mp3

12/07...my latest track featuring Gem on guitar through the Boss GT-8, she uses unique patches and a playing style that really
             lift this tune   Northern Lights.mp3

10/07...experimental track with a video in mind,  albatross.mp3

08/07...back from the cottage and found the original machine sound I produced when stacking some STS softsynths together.
While pitch and modulating the wheel on my keyboard, I was playing heavily with filters when this sound came to me,  Machine.mp3
